About Me
Steven is a founding member of Saratoga Capital Partners, a private equity and alternative asset management group. Founded in 2008, the firm initially focused on mergers & acquisitions advisory and capital raising. Steven co-led the M&A practice before becoming co-head of the regulated fund practice in 2017, where he launched their first regulated fund for discreet capital raise and private equity placement with investment migration solutions.
Today, Saratoga Capital offers multiple investment options, including second citizenship and permanent residency options, which are a useful vertical to the tax planning and family wealth needs of the discerning client. He is a member of the Investment Migration Council.
He is a partner in Penenden Partners, a venture capital group focused on early stage opportunities.
With over 25 years of experience in developed and emerging markets in both common law and continental civil law jurisdictions, Steven has been a member of, or has led, extensive deal teams in Canada, the United States, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Steven has focused on Central and Eastern Europe since 2004. He held senior positions at prestigious international legal practices: Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, McCarthy Tetrault, Linklaters, Wolf Theiss and White & Case.
